On Friday, December 31st, in thanksgiving for all the blessings that God has granted us this year, there will be a special Holy Hour beginning at 6 p.m., ending with the Te Deum (the great hymn of thanksgiving) and Benediction of the most Blessed Sacrament. The faithful may gain a plenary indulgence under the usual conditions by assisting at the Te Deum.

Join us for an Advent tradition! On Thursday, December 22nd, there will be a Rorate Mass at 6:00 a.m. It is called “Rorate” from the opening words of the Introit from the Mass of Our Lady in Advent and is celebrated before daybreak and by candlelight. For those wishing additional light, please bring your own candles.
Two Masses will be offered on Thursday, December 8, 2022 for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, which is a holyday of obligation:
- Noon – Low Mass
- 7 p.m. – High Mass
Long-time members of the “Latin Mass Group” fondly remember Father Reginald DeFour CSSp, one of the eight priests who offered Mass for us at St. Agnes Church in Oakland.
Father DeFour died in San Diego, California on Monday, Nov. 15, 2021 at age 87.
The Schola Gregoriana of the Saint Gregory Institute of Sacred Music, along with the MPBOJ Schola Cantorum, will offer a special liturgical presentation of Gabriel Fauré’s setting of the Requiem Mass on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
