After First Vespers of Laetare Sunday on March 30, 2019, over two hundred people filled the banquet hall as friends of the Institute from five States, joined the canons and oblates stationed at the Institute’s US Provincial Headquarters for the 2019 Benefit Gala to help build our National Shrine of Christ the King.

Laetare Sunday at St. Francis de Sales Oratory in St. Louis started with a glorious Solemn High Mass and it ended with the annual 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament.

Newly ordained American priest, Canon Luke Zignego, returned to the Shrine of Christ the King (where he began his priestly formation) to offer a First Mass of Thanksgiving at the feet of the Holy Infant King on the anniversary of His Divine Ordination — the Feast of the Annunciation.

The annual St. Joseph Day of Prayer at St. Joseph Oratory in Detroit was a powerful celebration of St. Joseph as the Patron of the Universal Church and of St. Joseph Oratory. An inaugural Solemn Preparatory Novena preceded St. Joseph Day, with an additional daily Mass, themed homily, and Novena Prayers at the side altar of St. Joseph beginning on March 11. The homilies given by the Canons of the Oratory and visiting clergy focused on various aspects of the vocation of St. Joseph, ranging from his Fatherhood to his role as Patron of a Happy Death.
