Downloadable schedule for Holy Week and Easter Sunday for the Immaculate Heart of Mary Oratory, San Jose.

On Saturday, March 2, 2019, His Excellency Oscar Cantú, Coadjutor Bishop of the San José Diocese, visited the Immaculate Heart of Mary Oratory. Canon Matthew Talarico, U.S. Provincial Superior of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, celebrated a Solemn High Mass with Canon Raphael Ueda, oratory chaplain, as Deacon and Abbe Kevin Kerscher from the Oakland Apostolate, as Subdeacon.

Oscar Cantú, Coadjutor Bishop of the San José Diocese, will succeed Bishop McGrath upon his retirement at some future date. Bishop Cantú will visit our oratory on Saturday, March 2, at 1:00 p.m. for a Solemn High Mass and reception to follow.

The Christmas Season comes to a close with Candlemas, which is the "Feast of the Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary," on February 2.  Only a few weeks later (this year on February 17) we celebrate Septuagesima Sunday and start preparing for Lent.  Following are some reflections on these two important feasts, one that closes the Easter Season, and one that begins our preparation for Advent and the season of Lent.
