The parish is always looking for more Altar Servers. We accept males who have at least received their First Holy Communion through adult age servers. Training is held weekly, Wednesday evenings during the school year, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Church. The first training for 2022-2023 was on Wednesday, September 7th—but it’s not too late to sign up. Please note that adult altar servers will need to complete their safe environment clearances prior to attending training. Tuesday, August 15, 2023 is the Feast of the Assumption of Our Lady, and a Holy Day of Obligation.
A Low Mass will be offered at noon, and a High Mass at 7 p.m.
Registration for the Catechism program for the 2023-24 school year will take place on August 6 and 13 in the rear of the church, between the two Sunday Masses (9:10 to 11:00 a.m.). Classes begin on Sunday, September 10.
The Little Sisters of the Poor and their volunteers will be with us after each Mass on April 30, 2023 to collect for their mission. Your contributions enable them to continue the work of their foundress, Saint Jeanne Jugan, in caring for the elderly poor at their home on Benton Avenue in Brighton Heights (only four minutes from our parish). They are counting on your continued support. Donations may also be made online at www.littlesistersofthepoor.org. If you or anyone you know is looking for a new job opportunity, the Little Sisters of the Poor have several positions open including CNAs and RNs. If you are interested in making a difference, please contact their Human Resources office at 412-307-1131.
