The Youth Camps 2008

Youth Camp for Boys with the St. Michael Patrol from July 21st to the 24th

Youth Camp for girls with the Company of the Immaculate from August 8 to 11th

 In Construction

Dear Parents,

Dear friends of St. Michael’s Patrol and of the company of the Immaculate

It is now more than time to register for the Youth Camp 2008. Father Moreau, Father Gardner, Abbe Kevin, and I, are please to offer this new opportunity to you and your children. The camp, as you know, is not only intended to be a time of fun but also, and mainly, a time for spiritual and moral growth. It is intended to be a kind of retreat away from home in order to discover oneself, to become aware of our personal shortcomings, and defects (community life is very good for that) and to improve our virtues.

All camp activities and  games are this way oriented.

Cell Phones, Radio, I-pod, or any Cd-Players are therefore not permitted.

The Boys- camp will take place, between July 21st, Noon, and July 24th, 5:00 PM and is open to boys aged from 12 to 18 years old (Older boys are invited to be part of the counselors) Fathers are very much invited to attend. Camps appear to be great occasions to reinforce or re-create bounds between parents and children.

For young ladies, the camp is set to be held between August 4th, Noon to August 7th, 5:00 pm. It is opened to girls aged 10 to 18 years old. Mothers or older sisters are as well welcomed.

The price for the camp is $60.00 .

Such a low price is possible only because of the generosity of many. Thanks for those who can help with donations. Indeed, nobody should be excluded for monetary reason.

Contact the Rectory to know more.

The camp will be outdoors. I am looking for tents to host the boys. It is best to have large tents where all the boys can be together to enhance the team spirit.

It will take place at the Zignego’s Farm, in Bowler, WI, near Wittenburg.

(Take Hwy 29, East or West toward Green Bay or Wausau. Take Hwy J North to Hwy D. On D take a left (North). The Zignego’s Farm is the first on the right).

Please, bring a Brown Bag for the first day. This will avoid us losing precious lunch time.                   You will be sent a permission slip, which needs to be filled out, signed and returned to St. Mary’s.  I would be happy to answer any questions or discuss any concerns that you may have.  Please call the Priory (715 842 9995)                   I hope that once again many fathers will be able to join their sons. Please pray for the success and of our Youth Camp and the safety of all its participants. May God bless you and your family.

Sincerely yours in Christ the King, Our Lady of Wausau, pray for us. Fr. Olivier Meney
