First Saturday of the Month.

August 2003

Marian Day Celebration.

Every First Saturday of the Month is solemnized at St Mary's Oratory in honor of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

This past August 2nd, High Mass was celebrated at 4:00 PM, which allowed many faithful to come to church.

At 5:00PM all the faithful were invited to Thomas Hall where several ladies of our Rosary and Altar Society had prepared a light dinner. At 5:30 PM our guest speaker Dr. Thomas Droleskey gave a conference about the total consecration to Our Lady according to St Louis-Marie Grignon de Montfort.

Dr. Droleskey is a renowned speaker who travels every summer from New York to various apostolates throughout the Nation, holding conferences. He has been writing for The Wanderer, and for the Remnant.

The festivities were then closed with a solemn Eucharistic Procession and benediction of the blessed Sacrament.

Due to heavy rainfall, the procession was held inside the church.

On Sunday August 3rd, Dr. Droleskey, who was accompanied by his family, gave a talk after High Mass about the Kingship of Our Lord.

In the future, we will continue to invite speakers for our celebrations on the first Saturdays of the Month.
