On Sunday, November 10, 2019, Canon Miguel A. Cañadas Carpio celebrated his First Solemn High Mass at St. Francis de Sales Oratory in St. Louis, Missouri. Serving as deacon was rector, Canon Benjamin Coggeshall and as subdeacon Abbé Alex Barga. Canon Coggeshall preached about the need to pray for our priests, especially the newly ordained as they begin their lives as consecrated servants of God. After Mass, Canon Cañadas gave his first priestly blessing to all the faithful in attendance. Canon Cañadas was ordained this past summer at the Institute of Christ the King’s church in Florence, Italy. Originally from Spain, Canon Cañadas now serves as vicar at St. Francis de Sales Oratory. The faithful welcome him and look forward to the opportunity to know and glean from another Canon of the Institute. Welcome Canon Cañadas!
