Water for our Sisters Adorers

The water supply to the convent is currently provided by an old system of water catchment in the stream below the House of the Royal Heart. This is the novitiate formation house of the Sisters located just a couple of miles from the Institute’s Motherhouse and St. Philip Neri Seminary in Gricigliano, Italy.

This water installation has two major drawbacks:
-First, the water capacities are limited. There is real risk of drying up in times of drought, such as the Sisters experienced last summer.
- The pumping system is outdated, as well as the pipe that brings water to the convent. Moreover, this pipe has to cross the property of a neighbor.

The solution found to remedy this problem and thus to save our Sisters from a serious shortage of water would be to drill a well near the convent. We had the soil analyzed and studied the feasibility of such an installation.
The proposal is as follows:
- Drill a well at a depth of 150ft and install the pump: 10,000 €
- Dig a trench 210ft to reach the tank: 3,000 €
- Connect the well to the tank: 2,000 €

Total: 15,000€ (which amounts to about $18,500)

Dear friends,
Our life as Sisters Adorers revolves around our daily adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.  During our time close to Our Lord we pray for all our benefactors and for their intentions.  Thank you so much for helping us with our water supply!

May God Bless You!
