Prior General Visits Green Bay's Oratory

Monsignor Gilles Wach

St. Joseph Oratory in Green Bay, Wisconsin, was privileged to welcome Monsignor Gilles Wach, spiritual father and founder of the Institute, on Sunday, May 26. He offered Solemn High Mass for the Feast of the Most Holy Trinity in the Oratory's Chapel. Monsignor's inspirational sermon on the role of the Holy Trinity in Christian life was translated from his native French in English by the Substitute for the Provincial, Canon Matthew Talarico, who served as the Deacon of the Mass together with the Oratory Rector, Canon Andreas Hellmann, as the Sub Deacon.

Following Holy Mass, an enjoyable reception was offered by many generous volunteers. The faithful were able to greet our Prior General, who was visibly happy to visit one of the first Institute apostolates in the US. The Oratory's children's choir prepared a special song in honor of Monsignor's visit. Their resonant young voices added to the pleasant atmosphere of this family gathering of the Oratory faithful.
