DECORATION DECISIONS BEING MADE...PROGRESS IN PAINTING AND RESTORATION IS ACCELERATING.
The photo below shows two decorative paint layouts for the three sections immediately behind the the main altar (see the rendering at the bottom of a previous posting of pictures). With the consultation of the the architect responsible for the design of the decoration of the church, the Building Committee selected the paint and color pattern to the left below. There will be small design modifications in the final stencil patterns as they are cut.

WOOD SELECTION AND STAIN COLORS ARE APPROVED.
The picture below shows one of the "pew-ends" that has been refinished, and stained. This finished work has been approved by all parties and the new pews are under construction in Nebraska. The long wood section at the bottom left is a sample of the hard-wood flooring and the approved stain color for the floor. On the section to the right below, the selected combination of stain and finish is the second from the bottom (third from the top). This wood and stain will be on the wood wainscoting that will be on the walls around the church and the wood framing of the vestibule enclosure on the east (back) side of the church. The combination will also be used for the refinished railing around the choir loft.

TILE SELECTION ARE MADE
In this photo, several samples of tile are shown. This tile will be used in the small room that contains the stairway to the choir loft on the south side of the narthex (vestibule). These tile samples will also be used for the walls of the new restroom being built in the sacristy area.
