SANCTUARY STEPS SUB-FLOORING IS NOW COMPLETE.
Three steps lead up to the sanctuary. At the foot of the steps is where the communion rail will be ultimately placed. The graphic in the lower right of the photograph will give you an idea where the rail will be positioned.
THIS VIEW SHOWS THE PRELIMINARY STAGES OF PREPARATION FOR THE POURING OF CONCRETE FOOTINGS TO SUPPORT THE MASSIVE WEIGHT OF THE NEW MARBLE ALTAR.
THE INTERESTING MACHINE SHOWN BELOW IS USED TO MEASURE AIR FLOW FROM THE NEW HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM.
The technician from the HVAC contractor fits the bag over the duct opening. Electronic measurements are taken of the air flow. These measurements allow the technicians to adjust the flow in order to have balance throughout the building.
FIRST THREE OF THE RESTORED STAIN GLASS PANELS ARE RE-INSTALLED
There is much work left to do on the restoration of the stained glass windows. But the finished result on the first of the work demonstrates how the repaired and strengthened panels will be revived to their original sturdiness and stunning beauty.
NEW EQUIPMENT ARRIVES FOR THE CHOIR LOFT.
The choir loft requires its own dedicated air handlers which will be connected to the main cooling and heating system. This photo shows one of the two units that were just delivered to the Oratory. Cabinets will be installed on both north and south sides of the loft and air ducts will be placed to provide a comfortable environment for the musicians.
