St. Nicholas visits St. Joseph's Oratory and all enjoy the
First Annual
New Liturgical Year Concert
St. Nicholas came and explained about his life. He also gave all that came to talk with him a picture to color of himself,
plus a "St. Nicholas, Giving Certificate in honor of the birthday of Jesus, Christmas Day,
where they promise to do something for the person they give it to,"
the children also received a candy cane.

Many shared their musical talents with all present, during the
First Annual Concert to celebrate the New Liturgical Year.
These two talented violinists are brothers, and played beautifully together. |
These two flutists are sisters of the violinists. The perfect makings of a family orchestra. |

This talented mother of 10 children directs her younger choir. This is not the only choir in this family. |
Here she accompany's her daughters, and sings with them here, too. Give this family a sheet of music and they can sing it beautifully. |
These three friends sing a song that was composed by the main guitarist, all of them also sing in the choir for Mass. |
This is another very talented musician who arranged Bach's, Suite for solo cello No. 1 in G major; for guitar. He is also one of the organists for Mass. |

These visitors are foreign exchange students who were kind enough to share their talents with everyone.

This is another family that can grab just about any instrument and play wonderful music.
This gentleman sang a couple of songs to show his gratitude toward everyone for all of their prayers, asking God to save his life after a serious motorcycle accident that the police report stated as fatal, but by God's grace, he was spared. |

This was a very entertaining duet where these two friends, while playing a dramatic piece by Grieg, each would slip in a few different songs.
As if trying to decide who should play which part, they would scoot each other off of the piano bench,
sometimes even standing behind and sneaking in a chord or two.
Very funny!

Fr. Jean~Marie Moreau thanked everyone for coming, and also thanked everyone for bringing their talents.
His advice was, "To develop your talents. Talents plus grace give saints,.....grace works on nature.
And if you read the life of Blessed Elizabeth of Trinity, she was a very talented piano player
before she entered the Carmelite Convent."
Then he thanked all for coming and then Father extended his blessing on everyone.
