First Corpus Christi at the Shrine, 2006
June 18, 2006, was a very special occasion for our growing community in Chicago, at the Shrine of Christ the King Sovereign Priest. It was the first Corpus Christi procession and the first event to take place within the still-gutted church since the Institute of Christ the King arrived in Chicago. Theprocession commenced at our basement chapel, where Mass is currently offered,from where Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament was solemnly carriedto the street and into the church, for a very moving Benediction.
