Directions to Shrine

Parking available to the south of the Rectory

EVERY 25th of the MONTH HIGH MASS in honor of the INFANT KING

The 25th of each month is a day dedicated to the Infant Jesus, in remembrance of His Incarnation and Nativity. At the Shrine of Christ the King the traditional novena to the Infant Jesus is said every month from the 17th to the 25th. Starting in January, on the closing day of the novena, the 25th, there will be a Votive Mass of the Nativity at the Shrine at 7:00 pm, followed by Adoration and Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament.

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 29TH, 1:30 pm

Solemn Crowning of the Divine Infant King by His Eminence Francis Cardinal George

On Saturday, Decemer 29th, His Eminence Francis Cardinal George came to the Shrine of Christ the King to solemnly crown the statue of the Divine Infant King. The crowning occured during a Solemn High Mass at which His Eminence assisted. The Mass was celebrated inside the church building, which is under restoration.

On Wednesday, September 26th, Msgr. R. Michael Schmitz and classical architect William Heyer were interviewed on EWTN Live about the restoration of the Institute's Shrine of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, in Chicago. Forty Hours Devotion & First Mass in the Church

In thanksgiving for the His Holiness's motu proprio Summorum Pontificum, and to pray for Holy Mother the Church, for our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI, and for our own intentions, the Forty Hours Devotion was held inside our historic church building, still under restoration, September 14th to 16th. Perpetual Novena to St. Thérèse

Every Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm, there is Holy Mass, Benediction and Novena Devotions to St. Thérèse. This revives a tradition of our church, which was once the National Shrine of St. Thérèse.

 

Catechism Classes
