A Pontifical High Mass in commemoration of the first anniversary of the canonical erection of St. Francis de Sales Oratory

was celebrated by the Most Reverend Raymond L. Burke, Archbishop of St. Louis, on Sunday, July 16th.

On this occasion, His Grace also solemnly installed a relic of St. Prosper at the side Altar of Our Lady.

St. Prosper of Aquitaine lived in the 5th century and it is to his writings that is attributed the aphorism

“Lex orandi, lex credendi.” This was the closing Mass of the National Convention of

the Latin Liturgy Association, which took place at St. Francis de Sales Oratory that weekend.
